Mystical Angels

Trying to remember the title of a book :)?

It is a short book about a child who goes to live w/ an older relative who looks extremely young. Child finds a hole in the ground (a mystical place sort of) which leads them to find out that the relative kept another child in a room sealed w/ a spell and black tar sealing the door and the relative got the child's youth. Had the book, loved it, lost it...any help thanks
