What does the Hierophant or Pope card represent in reference to love?
Every time I ask a question using my tarot cards about a certain guy I am somewhat involved with, I pull the hierophant card. Now I've started having dreams including the guy and the hierophant is there or brought up. What do you think this would represent?

- I believe it signifies that the harder you hold on to something, the more it slips away. There's a desperation there that will do the opposite of what you want it to - the more you struggle the further away it gets. take a deep breath, let go, and allow them to be who they are and allow them their freedom. The Hierophant can also mean seeking the advice of someone older who has been there and is wise about these things. Ask your Father or Grandfather his advice on love. Sometimes they can have very insightful things to say. :)
- The Hierophant card could be the type of person he is. However, I will tell you the definitions that work most for me with regards to love--and not the type of person this card represents. A relationship that is full of conventional ideas. Romance generally goes well, but in a traditional way. To be unconventional in this relationship would most likely cause it to backfire. Also, this card can mean that romance will come, but it might not be the "ideal" romance that one or both of you have in mind. This relationship could be somewhat dissatisfying to either one or both of you. Generally, this is not a bad card to get with regards to romance. Sometimes it can mean a traditional style wedding in the traditional sense--not a quick wedding. Hope that helps a bit...
