Asian Tattoo Mystical Powers?

I saw this one show I forgot what channel (either discovery or travel channel) but the host was taking place in a group of body guards to block a group of asian people with "mystical power granting" tattoos. The bodyguards would be in front of the stage where a monk would be chanting prayers out. The prayers supposedly granted powers back to the tattoo owners and eventually, they would run up towards the direction of where the chants are (the stage) as their tattoo animal i.e. if I had a crocodile tattoo, I would behave like a crocodile. The host of the show was, like previously mentioned, a body guard assistant and blocked the rushing mob from going to the monk.. What I want to know is what country does this originate from and maybe a tv show? Thank you. Oh does anyone know where I can see a video of this?
