- Whatever Cafe in Keong Saik Street. Actual name of shop - when a client first invited me to coffee there I thought they were being lackadaisical and I hadn't done my job. Limited range of decks. http://www.whatever.com.sg/ Haven't used in depth but have been drawn to the ones that came out of the luminaries of the Golden Dawn tradition, chiefly S L MacGregor, Rider-Waite and Aleister Crowley.
- nowadays its impossible to find tarot cards in singapore, you have to download, pay by credit card.. get the original version, full version of tarot card software online.. ;-)
- Whatever, Whatever is slightly overpriced. Best value ones can be found at Kinokuniya stores at Takashimaya. Or at Borders stores. Best to also buy books on how to read tarot cards properly or there are a few places in Singapore that people can teach you. Tarot cards are not as easy as everyone thinks they are. To get into the flow of things , you must be an active card reader for at least a year. Remember they are just tools. Your intuitive self plays a bigger role in all this. The way you choose the cards is not to see how pretty they are. You have to hold them in your hands, and 'feel'. As most of the packs are ceran wrapped and you can't open them.. but I think Takashimaya will open them for you to see.. So go through the cards, and see if they 'speak' or 'connect' with you. No use having lovely beautiful cards when you can't understand what its trying to say. I've bought and people have given me very nice decks in the past only that I have yet to touch them and still soldier on with my very old ones which are my favourite. I have a set called the Golden Tarot (but I didn't get them in Singapore) which has served me well. But I don't need to use the Tarot to do a reading anyway. :-)
- You can get them at Kinokuniya. They have branches at Ngee Ann City Orchard (biggest), Bugis Junction, and Liang Court
