Why people from Massachusetts all flock to Florida?

That's all these folks talks about - going to Florida, Florida, Florida. What is this mystical mass hyponotic obsession with Florida with these folks?? I know lots of them travel to other places, but Florida seems the no. 1 destination for the majority of them.

1. Oh jeez, it happens here in Illinois too. And I hate Florida. And also the people that go there all the time.
2. The weather is so much better there
3. Probably because Florida offers miles of warm beaches and plenty of hotels and beach homes to stay in.
4. It is warm year round and closer than Arizona and California. In Illinois, most of the people flock to Arizona.

6. I live in Massachusetts. People here like to go to Florida for vacations because of the drastically different weather, the beaches, the parks and resorts.. just like any other tourist! I've known some people that tried to retire to Florida but ended up hating it in the spring and summer months.. so they moved back. So, I have to ask, what "majority" are you talking about?
