planning a sweet sixteen party! HELP!!!?
okay so its my lil sis's sweet sixteen (She lives with me, dad dead, mom has mental prob) and i cant afford to throw her a MTV party, but i want her to have a great time, since i never had a sweet sixteen party myself i have no fricken clue what to do...okay well i sorta do, here it goes: Her adn her friends get in a limo and drive around to places, i will set up clues for them adn the limo driver will know where to go ahead of time so they dont spend like 5 hours and then we have no money for food for the rest of the month.... anyway so they go to the places and she gets a prez from each place, i want to make the places fun so i was thinking henna and tarot card readings but i need more ideas, also she like me is out there and likes attention, so for costumes we were thinking princess themed..but one of her friends refused to wear a dress...so i was think wired costume sorta things..cuz the particular friend is a must have at the party apparently and Rowan (sis) will die if shes not there....so i was thinking maybe since Rowan like history they could dress up as someone from history but then i thought she might think that was dorkie or something...i really have not earthly idea what to do...please help me.

- WOW youve outdone yourself already maybe not someone from history but....idk whats her favorite show/movie/book? they could be character from there....?
- I think your idea sounds really cute. Maybe add a nail salon or a spa to the list...they could get pedicures and massages or facials. And then at the end, you could have the last stop be to your house or to a restaurant or ice cream place where there could be dinner or cake/ice cream. I would not do the costume thing at all unless your sister really wants to. I can't really see a lot of teenagers wanting to do that. Also, you could have the limo stocked with her favorite drink (non-alcoholic, of course!).
- You can go to places like somewhere to eat, a dance studio and they can learn a quick dance, an arcade place (dave and busters). And they can dress up as their favorite holidays like christmas, or fourth of july.
- Fourth of july birthday would be fun. I think the limo idea is way too expensive. If she lives with you I judge that you guys aren't exactly first class, so skip that. I think you should have a birthday party at the beach or a park. Host it when it starts to get darker out. Use fireworks and grill food or something. Buy glitter hairspray, face paint, stuff to color everybody red white and blue! Buy a couple water guns and everybody could put on bathing suits and shoot each other if you're on the beach. You could even create a dance floor- get the cheap linoleum and a music player, some lights and set up a dance floor somewhere. Even for 16 that seems kind of fun. My cousin did much less than that for her 16th and everybody had a BLAST! Make sure to get really cool sweets- dress up cupcakes and make your own party favors- maybe a bunch of flags that have the USA flag on the front and, "Happy 16th Rowan!" on the back. Tell her happy birthday. Best of luck xox
