- Do you remember the positions of the cards, the spread, and what was the question? If you want, you can email me this information. If this was a relationship question, and you really like the person, this is a great spread, but the positions are important. The Empress does suggest fertility and abundance, but it can also have other meanings.
- The Empress can mean pregnancy......especially in a relationship reading. You'll get your wish, nine of cups. But the Tower....eeeee. The relationship will be a disaster and it probably won't work out, but here is what I think. You'll get pregnant, and it's destiny and that's what will come out of this relationship. Probably the whole purpose of y'all getting together.
- The meaning of the cards is further influenced by the type of spread involved, surrounding cards and the question asked. Without being sure what spread you've used i'll give basic brief meanings, but to be more accurate for you, i've referenced back to my tarot books... 1 High Priestess: Heightening of the powers of intuition, a sense of destiny. Card of knowledge foresight and comprehension. 2 The Chariot is a card of obstacle, adversity & great efforts. Determination to mix hard work with productive times of solitude. A struggle with competitiveness and aggression in others as well as within oneself which needs to be met and handled with strength integrity and containment. Likely to lead to a stronger personality. 3 Nine of Cups. Success & abundance. Material and/or well-being wise. Satisfaction. Fulfilment of a wish as a reward for efforts made. 4 Two of Cups Love. A new/renewed friendship/relationship. Sometimes (business) partnership. Cooperation. Union. 5 Tower & Fool = Breaking down of existing forms making way for new ones. A willingness to take a risk and venture into the unknown as there is a break down of a false persona or image when one has been bond and constricted on a spiritual/unconscious level. A loss of stability. Sudden event which destroys trust/upsets old beliefs and notions. Loss of money/security. A setback. A time when willpower must be used to combat foolishness. The Empress card is a card of attainment and fruitfulness, accomplishment. Material wealth. Entering a more earthy phase of life. Something needs/will need nurturing and patience, an artistic/creative child. Card of body and instincts, Earth. Indeed, fertility is suggested by this card. But i believe it can also be a fertile mind (ideas bountiful)... :) PS i know my spelling/grammar is bad but i can't figure out this checker, provided ha-ha
- High Priestess, The Chariot, and 9 of cups for you? You must be undergoing some emotional changes here, buddy! The High Priestess is reminding you of your own inner emotional strength, being able to rely on one's self. Also, because the Chariot and 9 of cups is also nearby, I am getting the sense that you are dealing with "hidden" forces-- secrets, inner turmoil, fantasies and illusions.... disillusionment being the main priority, because The Chariot here is reminding you to let go of what YOU consider "real" because it is possible that they are not. The 9 of cups, however is the upside to the fallen coin: Once you realize that your own self-esteem is being affected by the unrealistic fantasies and let go of them, then whatever you are wishing for will begin to manifest. I see it's it time to put aside some pride. As for him, The Tower represents someone very cataclysmic...they must be undergoing alot of heavy changes and that is causing them to feel a sense of gloom and doom. The Fool though, is saying for him to make the best out of the situation...he now has enough room for adventure! He should strike out on his impulses and allow himself to learn and experience. The Empress is a good indication that there is alot of nurturing. Alot of comfort on both sides, but maybe one of you is being more of a "mother" type... even if it feels like you or him are being protective, nurturing, and defending, to the other it feels very smothering. This is not to say that neither viewpoint is wrong, but someone needs to ease up with that or else they will overexert themselves and end up smothering the other individual. This relationship has a lot of creativity that neither of you may realize, so tap into it! It will help you out alot! EDIT: 2 of cups as well, eh? Paired with these cards you have here, I can see how your emotional commitment is beginning to pay off. Even though it is a long-term personal commitment, eventually it will lead to the 9 of cups' proposal to gain what you have been hoping for. It may be an indication that what you have right now paves the way for future commitments. This teaches you to be more creative, open, and more sympathetic with others in the future. The Empress just got more involved in that last sentence!
