Be warned: many of these are EXTREMELY unusual...but just think about them for a moment before you judge them. Melinda (Mel) Clytemnestra (Nessa), a name from Greek mythology Electra (Ella), also Greek Melia (Mel) Morrigan, an old Celtic name Pandora (possibly Dora or Annie), also Greek Padma, an unusual Indian name Proserpina (Rose), yet another Greek name Eowyn, from Lord of the Rings! I just think it's such a pretty, mystical name Everlee/Everli (Ev) Meryl, another Celtic name Sisu, a word in Finnish that translates into "strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity." In the English language, it could roughly translate into "having guts". I think it's an awesome meaning and a unique, pretty name. It's pronounced "sih-soo". Clytemnestra is (kli-tem-NESS-truh) Actually, the one from Star Wars is Padme, not Padma. Eowyn is pronounced (ai-oh-win) And no, Meryl is a Celtic name.

- Melinda, Everlee, & Meryl are pretty names. Pandora is nice, too, but not a name I'd ever use.
- Sisu is the best, very cute
- I love Melinda, Electra, Melia, and Everlee!
- Clytemnestra -- first of all, it took me ages to actually figure out how to say it. And second of all, please do not name your child any name that starts with "clyt"... Cruel! Melinda -- I like this one :-) Electra -- isn't this a film about a female super hero? This would put me off. Melia -- yes , this is lovely. Morrigan -- I'm Irish and I've never heard of this being used as a first name. Surname maybe. Pandora -- reminds me of my charm bracelet, lol. Padma -- like the girl from Star Wars? Prosperina -- no, I hate it. I'm sorry! Eowyn -- is this pronounced like Owen? I don't think I like this for a girl. Everlee -- it's a bit out there for me, but it's alright. Meryl -- I think this is more of an English name, rather than Irish or Celtic as you put it. It's very old-womany. Sisu -- sounds like see-saw.

- Melinda - love this name. Clytemnestra - a bit of a mouth full but very pretty. Electra - Sounds more like a last name than a first to me, but it's an okay name. Melia - Never heard this one before, but it's kind of pretty. Morrigan - Beautiful, I love Celtic names. Pandora - Pandora's box! Makes me amagine a curious girl. Great name. Padma - like one of the Patil twins in Harry Potter. Not keen on this one, but I've heard worse. Proserpina - The name of the Roman goddess. I like it, though I like her Greek name better. (Persephone) Eowyn - Gotta love LOTR. I've always loved this name since I heard it. Everlee/Everli - I kinda like. Like most of the others better. Meryl - An okay name. Sisu - Very interesting and unique. Love the meaning and it sounds really pretty.
- I like Melinda because frankly all the other names sound horrible. I know people try and look for unique names but you're child would be made fun of. Most of these names would also be difficult to pronounce.
- Melinda is pretty and feminine. Clytemnestra is hard to pronounce, just because it is so long and unfamiliar to many people (I was a classics minor in college :D). I would use one of the other Greek names instead. Electra and Proserpina are nice. Melia would be good, but I'm unclear on how to say it. Is it Me-LEE-ah or MEE-lee-ah? That would be a confusion I think a lot of people would have. Morrigan is gorgeous. A wonderful alternative to the overused Morgan. Pandora is a nice-sounding name, but do you want your daughter to remind us of the one who let humanity's troubles out of the box? I think people will actually know that myth, as opposed to the fewer or none who would recognize Proserpina as queen of the underworld. Padma is beautiful. Be aware that Indian people name their boys Padma sometimes, too. Eowyn is lovely, but I would use that as a middle name too, because people will mispronounce it and I'm afraid your daughter might get embarrassed once she found out about the book/movie. Everlee is nice, and Evie is a cute nickname. I would spell it Everly, Everley, or even Everleigh instead. Capitalize on the familiarity of names like Beverly or Kimberly to make it easy for people to spell. Meryl is just about perfect. One of the most beautiful names on your list. Sisu is alright if you are Finnish, but I think it would be best as a middle name just because it is so much more unusual than the others. Hungarian is a language in the same family as Finnish (and I actually speak it!), so if you are looking for a similar idea you can try Kita/Kitar or Pima. Kitartas means "don't give up!" and Pimaszsag means "chutzpah." Those are more feminine sounding to me. I love the thought though!
- The thing about baby names, is that you should first think about the child's future, in schools. You should choose one that won't cause your child to be mercilessly teased in school. It is also and idea to have a name that can be pleasantly shortened as a nick name. My sister called her son Travis James, which can be shortened to TJ, Trav, Travvy, etc. Personally, I like Melinda and Meryl, you should think a bit more on the names, and about how they would affect the child later in life
