Mystical Angels

TO buddhists, Does anyone know master zhi gang sha; who believes he can enlighten your soul?

a little background on this guy; he is a doctor; who heard "the divine told him to become a servant of the divine...just basically meaning; god's messenger i think" here is a link to more info; http://www.drsha.com/aboutdrsha.php?id=19 his words and his knowledge seems compelling, but how do we know if this guy is for real? I mean his book is a bestseller on new york times...how do we know if this guy is a little deluded, or fully sincere? the link on his chapter one is below; and that is all i read; i was just simply curious when i clicked on the link http://books.simonandschuster.com/Power-of-Soul/Zhi-Gang-Sha/9781416589105/excerpt/1 if you have time; you can read and contribute what you think about it. a little part on his book, these parts make me question him on sketchiness "" At least twice a year, I hold Soul Healing and Enlightenment retreats. Their purpose is to offer soul healing and soul enlightenment for humanity. I welcome you to join me in one of my Soul Healing and Enlightenment retreats. I will offer the teaching with my Certified Divine Master Teachers and Healers and my Certified Master Teachers and Healers. As a divine servant, vehicle, and channel, I will send a major Divine Order to enlighten the soul of every participant at the retreat. Soul enlightenment is the number-one task for the Soul Light Era. After reaching your own soul enlightenment, you can return home to prepare the people around you for their soul enlightenment. You absolutely can reach soul enlightenment by yourself. However, I can be the servant and facilitator for your soul enlightenment journey. "" and this part he says: "" I would like to share a spiritual secret here. For advanced soul enlightenment on your soul journey, it is vital to make a vow to the Divine. To make a vow is to tell the Divine you are ready to be a total GOLD servant of the Divine and humanity. Total GOLD means total gratitude, total obedience, total loyalty, and total devotion to the Divine. You will bring the Divine's personal attention. When the Divine hears your big vow, the Divine will give you a task. Remember, if you are ready to make a vow, do it. If you are not ready to make a vow, be sure you do not do it. After making a vow, the Divine and Heaven will give you a task in response to your vow. If you make a vow but you do not follow through, it will create major bad karma for your spiritual journey. Nobody wants this." the karma part is esp. scary and intimidating, and it seems funny how so many people he said decided to make a vow; and for that, i feel guilty but i feel like staying away from his speeches, and the way he presents the information, like he makes it "too easy to take such a vow and become an unconditional selfless person", by saying many people have.... I am not sure; but he also says he can directly enlighten someone's soul'....i always thought only a person can open that key for himself, in his own way of understanding how. This doctor thinks you can be enlightened simply by contributing to humanity? am I correct? Am I wrong for being both cynical and distrustful?

  1. My understanding of Buddhism, is that they don't have a god to worship. But hold all of creation in reverence. Good for them. http://godisimaginary.com/ the more I read about duping guru dr sha, the more I see similarities between IT and $cientology and indeed, every religion that promises you to make your sad life better, if you give them enough money. Once your in, you are hooked by the mouth, and unable to think clearly, for fear of retribution. Fight this stupidity with all your might.
  2. There are different kinds of Buddhism. I, personally, wouldn't believe anyone who told me they could enlighten my soul. He might have a nice service, I guess I'd have to go listen to make a judgement. I think contributing to humanity is definitely a good thing but I think it would take more than that to be enlightened. I don't blame you at all for questioning that. In my opinion you'd be wrong not to question it.
  3. You are not wrong to be cynical and distrustful, the Buddha taught that we should be exactly that. Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. - the Buddha
  4. Master Sha is not a Buddhist. His website mentions nothing about Buddhism and his teaching (based on the text on the website) is far removed from any Buddhist teaching. He makes extravagant claims for his method, including: "claims to be able to wipe out past karma, prevent future illness, replace organs in the body, and send "downloads" over the phone. These services cost $ 200 up to $ 2,000 and more." If you've got money to burn, Master Sha would be happy to accept it. 5. This Is What I think, this quote from:"The Major Writings of Nichiren Daishonin" sums up what I think. "Law-devouring hungry spirits are people who renounce the world and spread Buddhism. They think that if they preach the Law people will respect them, and because of their ambition for fame and profit, they spend their entire present lifetime striving to be thought of as better than others. They neither help other human beings nor have a mind to save their parents. Such people are called Law-devouring hungry spirits, or hungry spirits who use the Buddhist teachings to satisfy their own desires."pg 191
