Public Comments

  1. prayer, positive thinking and visualization can do amazing things
  2. It can't hurt it. Depends if the person or family is supportive of trying it.
  3. It has been known but always do as the doctor advises first
  4. No stick to your medication Most of this stuff has never been prov-en it dos,NT matter what you have heard.
  5. Yes - It is always good to keep a strong spiritual connection. Even if things don't turn out as planned.
  6. Having a spiritual base will get you through anything, even death. But, even tho I had a good attitude I did the chemo and radiation and lost my hair, it's been 4 1/2 yrs and my hair is long and curly and back to my natural color-dark brown. I am 54 but most don't believe me. It's my spirit that keeps me young.
  7. http://www.sharemanna.com it is only one piece of the puzzle.
  8. Try reading the book You Can Heal your Life by Louise L Hay. It might help you with the answer.
  9. Yes, it can help to fight cancer. you hear the storeys of people who achieve great things while fighting cancer. but i think its in your own spirit that does the most. Chin up and take on the world.
  10. I think prayer can work particularly as a preventative and I am unsure of your definition of spiritual healing. If you mean a spiritualist or laying on of hands I am doubtful. Vitamin B17 might be worth researching. Prayer will help but as one of the people who thinks cancer is caused mainly by stress and diet I recommend you spend 15 minutes a day in total silence and prayer. I am unable to disconnect "spiritual" from prayer. But not all cancer is caused by these factors as some is hereditary and not all cancers are healed. Sorry if this is not quantifiable but don;t let some "wise woman" tell you you will be healed and ignore the fruits and foods God has provided which can provide healing to a degree in themselves. Apricot stones or similar. Google the information up but don't relay on any single source of healing.
  11. I don't believe it can, but there again, I'm an Atheist/Realist, but if it helps someone cope with having the disease, then all well and good!
  12. Cancer diagnosis and treatment can be very difficult for a patient's mental state. If someone needs a crutch such as faith, spiritual healing, etc., I would certainly encourage it.
  13. I beleive so. Stranger things have happened. I think Spiritual healing can be proved to work in any light of human existence or experience.
  14. I had cancer 22 years ago. I never had any treatment for it - just an operation to 'cut it out'. It was very hard to think positive at the time but that is what I tried to do and thankfully I'm still living. My daughter's fiance received spiritual healing for his cancer - sadly he died. Each one of us has the power to heal our own bodies. That's what the Bible teaches. One thing I would like to say to any Doctors on this site - don't play God and tell people there is no hope. A sure way to hasten their deaths. We live in an age of miracles where something new is discovered every day so their is ALWAYS hope.
  15. Spiritual healing works on many levels . It will help you not only with the physical side of an illness , but the emotional and spiritual side as well . Spiritual healers never promise a cure or shouldn't! but many have been helped by this complimentary therapy . It should be used in conjunction with traditional medicine .If you feel relaxed and supported you are in the best mental state to fight any condition you may have
  16. Check out Brandon Bays "The Journey" - she wrote a book about how she had a tumour the size of a melon, which was cured with intensive spiritual healing. I guess it's true, though hard to believe sometimes. There are so many things we don't understand.
  17. Yes, pray for death
  18. PRAY EVERYDAY!
  19. I think it would help all positive thoughts help but i think they go hand in hand with conventional medicine
  20. Yes it can. When I had cancer 12 yrs ago, I had all available medical treatment. Chemo, radiotherapy, and drugs. Because of the wonderful medical treatment I received, I have survived. However, not one of the doctors spoke to me in a optomistic way about my future. I really thought I was going to die. At the same time I went to a spiritual healer, she treated my mind, and made me relax and helped me realize that I could help heal myself by not giving up hope, and having positive thoughts and getting through each day. She was the only one who told me I would survive. At the time, this was all I wanted to hear and believe in. I really believe that you should have all the conventional treatments that are availible, but you should also take the alternative therapies too. The doctors tell you what you must take and do in the practical way, but I think it is essential for you to also try to feel that you yourself are also helping yourself to get better, in whatever way you can.
  21. Studies have shown that people who pray and trust God have the will to live, which plays a major role in survival.
  22. yes and No, while there is no scientific evidence of this, many people would argue that spiritual healings works. some it maybe worth a try, although it will be 50/50 either it will work or it won't
  23. I really do think it helps. I would definitely get all the medical treatment such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but also seek out professional counsellors who can advise you on ways to relax, think positive thoughts, instruct you on diet, etc. Jan de Vries is an expert in this field, he is on television and radio throughout the world. Get information from his website. Also, as we as a family are going through this trauma at the moment, we are firm believers in laughter being the best medicine. Doing things together like lunching and socialising take the mind off the illness for a while and enjoying yourself helps release endorphins into the body which are great for your health. I also believe colour therapy can help.
