how do you use tarot cards?

i just got a deck of tarot cards today. i don't understand how to use them! can anyone help?

  6. I'm not into Tarot cards but I know from Thoth cards I have seen that you get 22 cards you have to read them and meditate to the word that appears on the card.
  7. Sure, take a match and start a fire with them! How do people believe in those things? I mean, I'd believe in them IF they gave the same prediction each time. For instance, say you pick some cards and your fortune is told. Then you do it again in five seconds and different cards show up! Did you future change in those five seconds?
  8. i don't know how to use them, but from what i've gathered, it takes a lot of time to learn how to use them, every card has a different meaning and when placed in a certain order it's different, also i think if it's upside-down it's different. i think it's really complicated, and i think you have to be like a very intuitive type person as well.

  11. shuffle them while thinking of a question to ask them. make into 4 piles with your left hand. take top card from farthest left pile. put face down in front of you. take top card from 2nd pile and put to the lower left of first card. top card from 3rd pile - below 1st card. top card from 4th pile (farthest right) lower right of 1st card. flip them all over (not upside down! there's a difference if the card is upside down!) 1st card represents whats at hand. 2nd card is past influences. 3rd card is something to ponder. 4th card is what to do. You can find what all the cards mean online.
  12. It's considered good luck to have the tarot cards handed down to you. I would learn from someone who uses them often. There's so many different tarot cards out there and different ways that books interpret them. You can even use regular playing cards as tarot cards if you memorize the meaning for each card. I think what you do is ask the person to shuffle the cards and then take the first few cards off the deck and tell them what each cards means, but I could be wrong.
  13. i use tarot cards all the time, and i am a psychic, medium, clairvoyant. there are a lot of ways to use them, there is not One Right way. the best way to use them is to let your intuition guide you. this is what i did when i first got my deck. go to your room. open the pack. stare at the first card. depending on the deck but it should be the magician. look at the picture and study it, see what comes to you. then do the same for each card. think positive. Any divination tool (psychic tools, like tea leafs ouija board) and NOT EVIL!!! they are actually neither! they are whatever energy YOU put into them! once you've got a good feeling about each card, place the pack under your bed or pillow for three night, this brings your subconscious energy (your more psychic energy) into the deck, therefore giving you more more positive and good readings, now im sure your wondering about the spreads. look into various kinds, like the Celt spread. (i use that a lot) and the three card spread, this is probably the most basic, and easy to explain on here with no pictures of what to do. and i know this all can be very frustrating trust me, we all go through it. The Three card spread: shuffle the deck as much as you want, when YOU feel the need to stop then stop. place them on your left, grab them first card, but don't look at it yet, (say either in your mind or out loud, show me my past) place it to the left in front of you, grab the next card, again don't look, (show me my present) place in the middle, again grab the next again don't look (show me my future) and put it to the right, left being the past, middle present, right future. i hope this helped. also try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNU4wdMSEj0&feature=related
