Are Tarot cards and Ouija boards dangerous?

In the past, I have used Tarot, and more recently variations on the Tarot deck (Angel reading cards etc..) I know there is a theory out there that they bring bad luck and are a tool with which the devil can trick you, how many people believe this to be true, and has anyone suffered bad experiences. I no longer practice either as am concerned I may have been 'meddling' with something I knew nothing about. I have no plans to start up again, just interested in peoples views......

I have no experience with a ouija board, but I did use tarot cards for several years, and I can say without a doubt that they open doors that do not need to be opened. It is a really long story, but I will always thank God I said the sinner's prayer as a child and was able to call on the Lord Jesus Christ when it got too much for me to deal with on my own! If you play them on top of a nuclear bomb they are. Otherwise they're greeat fun.
the devil has many tools with which to trick you--I'm not so sure this one would be the most dangerous. I'm not even sure these things have anything to do with the devil. I think its all the power of suggestion.
i think it is. i've never played either of those. but i think ouija boards ARE playing with devil. and if you like believe those "answers" then i believe that your basically letting the deivl into your soul.
You shouldn't mess with da ouija board cuz when your playing it your talking to people from hell.if you keep playing it so many bad things will happen to you.you wished you never played it.
Tarot cards aren't dangerous, they're a divination tool. Ouija Boards can be horribly dangerous, so I'd advise against using them. I have been reading the Tarot since the age of 14 and find they can be really useful.
I had read Tarot cards for some 35 years before I gave them up. They are not in themselves dangerous, but in learning them, you need to take a lot of time not to assume you understand more than you do. One way is to talk about all the possible interpretations of a layout, of each card in the position it's in. Because sometimes the first thing that jumps into your head is not the best interpretation. Ouija boards are more dangerous, because the idea is to summon an entity from outside yourself to come and communicate with you. If it were real, that would be dangerous. I should imagine the ones that wish to deceive you may be more eager to communicate than the ones that may be able to tell you a truth. If, as I believe, what it is really doing is allowing material from your unconscious mind to come up, and to treat it as an external entity, that is even more dangerous. Most people are completely unprepared to deal with the "demons" of the darkest corners of their minds. It is the most suppressed material that will come up, and there's a reason why it is suppressed. It's ugly, and to externalize it is to create a delusion you may be years in overcoming.
They are Demonic Tools, much like witch craft. We are warned to stay away from them.....
The Ouija board is dangerous in that it focuses on the Black Art. Come into the light. Tarot cards are dangerous if in the wrong hands.

I don't really believe in them but I would not use them not even for the fun of it. My friend used a ouija board and she went mentally insane (poor soul). She acted like she was possessed by the devil and she claims she see ghosts. I don't see her anymore because I am apparently a bad person from want she was told by the ghosts that she saw.
Yes, especially if you leave them laying on the staircase. Otherwise, they are helpful tools that help you connect with your higher self.
DO NOT ever play w/ ouija boards!!!! They open the doors to evil & if it latches on to u, you'll be sry! When I was 15 we moved to San Jose, Ca. My cousin & I found a ouija board the last family left in the grabage. My mom made us get it out of the house but we snuck it back in & played w/ it. Nothing happened. I turned the light off 2 go 2 sleep 4,5 hrs later, than heard my wall crack hela LOUD above my head. I looked up & (window was behind my headboard)the street light reflected bright thru my bd rm window. W/ in seconds I seen gray thick smoke the corner top part of the window, but the window was closed. In the smoke a face started to form & next thing I knew I was looking dead in Satan's face! I was so scared & his presence was so powerful, I couldn't move. This all happened w/ in seconds. It faded off & I jumped out the bed & ran to my mothers rm. I 4got we had played w/ the ouija board & she told me I must have been thinking of sum thing evil. My cousin & her boyfriend had fell asleep in the tv rm. About an hr later she & my mom was waking me up..on her way 2 the bathrm she seen 2 red fire balls fly over her head towards the bathrm & right thru the bath rm window. At the same time her boyfriend came screaming towards our rms that he had seen 2 fireballs come right thru the sliding glass door. From that day on half my life & hers was ure hell & full of misfortunes. 11 yrs later, a guard brought it to jail for the women 2 play w/ Halloween nite. Alot of us begged them not 2 play w/ it also cus the jail was built on Indian burialGROUNDS. At midnite a loud drum beat woke the whole jail up, they even heard it on the mens side. The next nite a guard ws doing head count & soon as she open the door to our dorm, she seen a Indian chief sitting at the table w/ a huge feathered head dress on, turned around & ran out. We slept thru it but the guards told us the next morn we what happened & that we would have 2 remain lock down till they figured out what the hell was going on, & that 2 guards would be doing count ron now on. It took alot of prayers & yrs of hardships to finally cleanse my self of all the evil spiritual experiences I had over the yrs, Satan came 2 me twice more..but now I attend churc & have turned my life over 2 God. P.S Tarot isn't whats bad, it's the ppl that use them. If ur a good person & don't allow yourself to become addicted, its ok. Prophets from Puerto Rico & South America have read cards 4 my family & friends. If they charge, I don't mess w/ them. The ones we used were gifted by God to help keep ppl at thr right paths. They didnt really need the cards & only asked for donations to their church. They prayed over the cards & some made them into the sign of te cross. One was real good& everyting she said came true, she even knew when i was pregnant b4 I knew. And, she was right, God did give me everyting I needed & wanted by my middle ages.
They are both good. They have nothing to do with the devil, it is just people are afraid of what they don't understand and assume that its evil. I (personally) wouldn't use a Ouija boards as I don't know who I am speaking to and you open the doors to anyone, and they may not want to leave.. Tarot cards are to help you with a certain decision and to make you aware of someone who may come in your life to meddle with it. They don't tell you answers or how to go about, they just give you a little guidance for what may come.
Tarot is fine - just a guiding light / helping hand to our subconscious / our intuition / our protective guides / our Angels (I love my Angel cards). The only scary thing about Tarot is how accurate it can be! Ouija boards are a different story. Use with caution and be ware. Adele H is quite correct, spirits can attach themselves to you - I'm not sure about the Devil as such, it's more likely to be a spirit that wanted to appear like the Devil to scare her. Only experienced people should use ouija boards, and even then, be wary! I would never use a ouija board, but use Tarot regularly.
