Can you "learn" to read Tarot?

Is it by intuition only or can you learn to read Tarot cards?

1. Of course you learn. You only read with intuition after you have learned all the meanings and whatnot.

4. You can learn one or more interpretation of the cards. You can learn the history of the cards. You can learn how to spread the cards. But to use the Tarot you must be an adept. A book won't help you. Another teen ager who has read a book can't help you. Be very careful of the Tarot.

There are people who read mechanically - meaning use Tarot meanings and there are intuitive Tarot readers who don't use traditional card meanings at all. Book meanings are fine but it is all subjective and very hard to memorize all the different meanings.

Before using Tarot cards, you should meditate and ask your spirit helpers to guide you in your readings. Then just allow yourself to be open so that spirit can work with you. It takes some time for most people but if you are consistent, it will happen. One last thing. Even though you want to be open, it is important to say a prayer and ask for protection before doing any reading.
