what is the big deal about being able to read tarot?
When I was first learning to read tarot a women introduced the idea to me and i would have never otherwise have looked into tarot reading. One of my friends in our small circle said " this is the only way I would believe in this stuff because I knew you before you started the tarots, if you said oh I can read tarot cards, I would have been like yeah OK and not believed you" What is the big deal? Tarot reading comes naturally to me personally. Does this mean some people can't read them --- Are their people who just are horrible tarot readers or something? so what if you can read tarot cards, why does that sound so untrue? is this a hard skill to aquire? I don't think it is, I don't get it

- Being able to read it is one thing. Being able to control it is quite another.
- u can read people future
- you might be gifted at memorizing the cards and stringing their meanings together into a good story, you might be a natural for "cold reading" - look it up... tarot cards to not tell you anything supernatural. They are merely a tool
- it's against religion to read or get tarot readings. The bible says not to seek out fortune tellers, that would be equivalent to psychics, tarot cards, ouija board, palm readers, anything of the occult like that.
- Tarot is not real. It's a bunch of picture cards. You could accomplish the same things with a deck of Memory Match, Uno, Loteria, and even standard playing cards. Why? Because it doesn't mean anything.
- Buddy you're wasting your time: You can make lots more money throwing Three Card Monte. If you were really newyorknewyork you'd know this already.
- CAuse its witchcraft and you open urself up to the spiritual realm meaning the enemy gives you ttruth but only twists it and decieves it. You better run and not look back at those cards or ur life will never be the same again. Basically, a demons speaking to you.
- If it "comes naturally" to you... Congratufuckinglations. But my question to you is this... How accurate are you? Are your readings intuitive, or have you actually taken a little bit of time to study the mythology, history, and archetypes within Tarot? Tarot is a big deal. I once heard a very scholarly-inclined tarot reader, whom I've had the pleasure to meet in person, and who has written a great many books on the subject say "All of the answers to the Western Mysteries can be found within the major arcana. You can study for a lifetime, and never even scratch the surface". But if you've figured all that already, shouldn't you be doing better things with your time than bragging about your tarot skills on Y!A?
