Healing prayers - all different faiths please!?

Hello, I would like to gather a collection of prayers for healing, from all sorts of different faith groups. I have a sister who is in critical condition in hospital, and I would like to say some prayers for her - I consider myself a spiritual person, but I am not tied to a single religion. So my question is, in your faith, what prayer/passage/poem would you reflect on in a time of Recovery. Thank you

  1. simply pray to god to heal her.
  2. think of her as joy girl at least 14 minutes a day she will get well soon
  3. Aum bhu bhuwa swaaha tat savitor vareenum bhargo devasya dheemaaheem doeyo na prachoodaayat. may all be well ....
  4. God is the right way to go , i advice borrowing a study bible from someone, it will have an index were it will show you where to find these prays in the bible, when jesus did miricales he said they only worked because the person has faith . so have faith and pray for healing , it may help .
  5. Sit with her and meditate a while, Envision a white healing energy going into her body and healing her ailments. Words alone are not always enough. Visualization helps transfer your positive energies into her body. You cannot do a full circle or spell in a hospital room for a number of reasons. But mixed with the prayers of others this should be a helpful added touch.
  6. Why not speak from your 'own' heart instead?
  7. You can say them, but they will not have any effect. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/3193902.stm Sorry. Keeping your sister calm, stress free and with as positive an attitude as possible have all been shown to have positive effects. Do what you can to help her in those ways.
  8. Goddess what no human ear can hear, you heard. what no human eye can see, you saw. what no human heart can bear, you transform. what no human hand can do, you did. what no human power can change, you changed. Goddess of love, Goddess omnipotent, you through all power flows, source of all, queen of the cosmos, creatrix of the universe, accept my prayer in this time of need, from a soul lost and saddened, who has spoken, and is heard.
  9. I'll be hoping that the doctors treat her to the best of their ability and that her body's natural healing process takes over where the medicine leaves off. While I hope your sister gets better, I doubt that gods are what will heal her.
  10. I live in a modern civilized country where, thanks to efficient public schools providing education for all religious delusions and superstitions quietly faded away. When people are sick, they go to their doctors and sometime to hospitals where doctors, nurses, surgeons and other medical professionals who studied hard for more than ten years do their best to treat them. No invisible friends in the sky are needed or implied... It has been demonstrated many times that trying to talk telepathically to 2000 years old cosmic jewish zombies has no influence on the outcome of medical treatments dear...
  11. In the LDS church, we have a holder of the Melchizedek Priesthood anoint the head of the sick or afflicted with consecrated oil, then he puts his hands on their head and says a prayer for their health. I've heard of many miraculous healings happening from this. Even if you disagree with LDS beliefs, if things get desperate, anything can help, right? You can just go to your local LDS church and ask the bishop for help.
  12. "Prayer is mighty in its operations, and God never disappoints those who put their trust and confidence in Him. They may have to wait long for the answer, and they may not live to see it, but the prayer of faith never misses its object. —The Complete Works of E. M. Bounds The prayer of faith, within God's will, is always yes. What I do is remind myself of the many answers that He has given me already, and thank Him for the answer that is to come. I wait, with thanksgiving and praise for God to answer.
  13. This is not specifically a prayer. But it is a very encouraging article about the amazing power of prayer for healing — http://www.jimfeeney.org/powerofhealingprayers.html
