fairies, elves, mystical creatures?

my friend is having a rather large halloween costume party and i don't want to spend a lot of money on a store bought costume, so i was thinking about getting some wings, a sword/dagger/medieval knife and wearing leggings under a skirt and be a fairy warrior..... any suggestions? does this sound like a stupid idea? btw its a high school senior party

1. yes, it does. I think being a fairy, elf, or mystical creature is a cool idea, but not a fairy warrior. Unless you are a dark fairy, and you keep out the traditional cute elements of fairies.
2. I think it's pretty original actually, but wings can get pricey, if you want my advice, make your own. That way you can spice them up however you want.
