Does anyone know why these so called renowned psychics go into hiding every time a child goes missing?

I see these psychics on talk shows all the time, lots of them claim they talk to the dead yet, when a child goes missing these psychics are nowhere to be seen.

2. Because most don't force their abilities on others. Most require the family or police to ask them for help. Plus like you said they talk to the dead, and if the child is alive they cant help.
3. I don't believe that talent can be turned on like you do a faucet. I am sure if they are legit, and do have infomation, they do tell the police but no all police are open to their 'expertise' even when offered.
4. because they're all a scam. just to get your money. like the horoscopes booth at a carnival.
5. Probably their excuse is simply that the child isn't dead so how could they possibly talk to them. Oh...and it's all a fraud. I've heard physics have helped investigations before and even been sucessful, funny how it's not the famous ones who have their own tv shows eh?
6. Because Psychics are bogus. They profit off the ignorance and fear of stupid people. The prominence of "psychic abilities" in modern ficiton and fantasy leads foolish people to wonder if the fantasy may be real. So intelligent people with no morals simply learn how to read people's reactions and body language, and are able to prey off the stupid people to make money.

8. Years ago, phoney psychic Sylvia Browne told two parents on Montel Williams that their missing and presumably kidnapped son was dead. Well guess what? The next year he was found ALIVE! All psychics are phoneys, self-glorifying people selling their mumbo-jumbo for money. There are very few professions on earth where you can give yourself a "title" and a mystic "power" and then rake in millions. These deceitful people are the lowest of the low.
9. because its all rubbish! Anyone can tell someones future! I've seen someone before and it sounded all exciting at the time, but years on i don't think any of it came true!

12. Psychics are one BIG fake. Why so many exist is amazing to me. Maybe it is probably so many, not so bright, people believe in them. Or people who are so upset about a loved one they go to them in vain. Psychics should be outlawed when tested and fail. If one did predict something it would be an accident. Lets get a national test going and see how many have success.
