Is this verse talking about physical or spiritual healing?
1 Peter 2:24 -KJV- Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I thought this was about spiritual healing- our sins being wiped off because of Jesus' wounds- being saved. Then I heard many TV evangelists use this to speak about physical healing from sickness etc. Kindly quote scriptures if possible. Thank you.

- you're right it is spiritual healing.
- Definitely spiritual.....> Eventually physical as well, but not from sickness. But the wrath of God.... He took that punishment so you dont have to....>
- it means both!!! Jesus was not just a miracle maker, doctor and counselor...he was ALL, duh. Christians think so deep they dont see the obvious...
- Hello! 1. Spiritual Healing is when you get That Spirit that you were Born With----ReCreated. EveryBody is Born "Lost". EveryBody is Born with a Messed Up Spirit (Dissconnected from GOD Almighty "Spiritually") When you do Romans 10:9 (and Mean It!), your Spirit WILL BE ReCreated, by The Holy Spirit, and YOU! (Male, Female, What-So-Ever!) WILL Become---a Child of GOD!!!, on Your WAY to Heaven!!! Thank You JESUS!!!
- Quoted from Isaiah 53:5. You are correct - the TV pastor was wrong. Isa 53:5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
- God made us perfect and He still sees us that way.
