Mystical Angels

What is the meaning of these two Tarot cards?

What is the meaning of the "8 of swords" reversed and the hanged man in the upright position. Both of these cards were the final card in two celtic cross tarot spreads. I'm not sure how to interprete these cards. I'm a little rusty in my Tarot!

  1. As a Tarot reader, you will know that the other cards around these cards and the question you might be posing will mean different things. Therefore, I will give you just the straight meanings of the cards.( at least what they mean to me) Hanged Man means major change coming. This is usually inner change coming from knowledge, wisdom and life experience. You will realize that operating in a certain way has not been successful for you and it is time to approach things differently but it does take self surrender because we are creatures of habit and find it hard to change. The eight of swords has several meanings. You need freedom and relaxation from the stresses you now face. You also need to face your challenges honestly and not get into denial. ( I say you, but you might be doing these spreads for someone else) Hope that helps.
  2. Basic meaning of the two cards Eight of Swords "reverse" - Relaxation, new beginnings possible, freedom The Hanged Man - Suspension, change, reversal, boredom, abandonment, sacrifice, readjustment, improvement, rebirth Hope it helps~
