- U can try going to a baby naming site and looking up names there that sound mystical. But me and my friend were co-writing a fantasy book until we stopped the idea. The names we used were Ermia, Calia, and Bymir. U can try one of those. If not, u can always choose a name and mix the letters up to make a funky word.
- names say everything about a person. They are the first impression that people get of something. Consider these names, and how they are associated with an image: how many members of royalty do you know named Ralph? How many barbarians do you know who are named Steve? Do you think of gorgeous hispanic women when you think of the name Isabella? How many accountants are named Maximus? How many exotic dancers take the stage name Gertrude? Would the name Walter be more appropriate for a gymnast or a truck driver? What would you imagine someone who goes by the name Meatloaf looks like? What kind of life would someone named "Moon Unit" live? (and yes, there is a woman named Moon Unit in the United States.) Names also extend to places as well. Consider how the name Rome rolls off your tounge, like a gong signalling grandeur. Or how Istanbul, Baghdad, and Tehran all have that breath-heavy vocalization that is characteristic of middle eastern tounges. Or how the names Shaolin, Guangzhou, and Shanghai all have that 'shhh' and high 'o' sound that is common in the Chinese language. So in closing, I think that arbitrarily naming your far away lands would be detrimental to your book. But what I can do is forward you to this website, which ostensibly is for people names, but I think may be a good place for you to browse names and get a feel for what impression you would like to give when people vocalize the name of your far away land. http://www.20000-names.com/

- Names of the people or the worlds? Well anywal... Ardaizal (ar-DYE-zall) and Gerinalda (jer-ih-NALL-duh) are the two I got. I'm writing a book too! It's urban fantasy, though, and it takes place on earth (which is why I'm not too good with wrold names) but when it comes to people names, I'm happy to help!
