What debt of gratitude do we owe the psychics who predicted the Haitian earthquake so people could evacuate?
Oh wait.... Snicker, that "vine" person is just like all the other psychics... she says she predicted an earthquake on that day (she didn't say where it would be and there are earthquakes almost every day somewhere) but she only lets us know AFTER the fact. Hell, I can do that.

- They're too busy predicting the winning lottery numbers, as they do every week. I wonder if Nostradamus predicted the earthquake. I guess by tomorrow, he will have done.
- You can thank me. But next time may be you will listen to my predictions.
- I've got some Oreo cookies. If they want some they can have them. They're a couple years old but hey who can turn down an Oreo!
- Years ago I was told in Automatic Writing that there would be a tidal wave here. Scared me to death and I was in panic. So far it hasn't happened...and that was a long long time ago. If someone had predicted it....and people believed it... they probably would panick but not move. I didn't move.,,,even though I believed it at the time. I think people are more likely to believe scientists than psychics.
- As much as to the scientists who predicted it so the people could evacuate! Oh wait.... You would be surprised at some of the predictions that have actually been made (and yes I do mean in advance) that were correct. The two biggest problems are those who deny any possibility it may be true. Secondly it is generally some no-name that makes the prediction. I can understand those who deny the show psychics and attention whores who are fraudulent and blatantly so, the first name that comes to mind is Sylvia Brown. Add to the ridicule, due to the frauds, a no-name receives the accusation that someone who makes accurate predictions is causing it to happen and then ask why you do not hear about them. 911 was predicted 2 months prior and the information passed to the US Air Force. (I have spent time in the underground bunker where the info was received and met the person who made the prediction) Did you hear about that prediction and did it do much good? How many people were in the buildings? How many were there on a "normal" day? Why was there a meeting called at the pentagon on that day, including a recall of some persons on vacation if they were in the area with specific instructions being told "Do not go into the pentagon." I take it that you know what is really going on and what predictions are made even if they are not open to the public due to bureaucracy and security issues. Oh right it was an inside job and our own government was involved so they did not want the public to know, I forgot again. There is an entirely different system within the government that an outsider would not believe exists. The show that the public sees it to keep them pacified and thinking they have some control or say over their lives. Reality is a different matter and there is constantly judgements as to how much information is released and how much collateral damage is acceptable/necessary to maintain stability and avoid panic. Would you really like to know how much lack of privacy you have aside from electronic surveillance? My ex panicked when she found out only a little of what goes on and complained that I should have told her. I simply asked if it would have really changed anything? Bad day, I may hear about this answer later but at times I question if people are not more than cattle that are being just as easily manipulated and I need to let it out. Nothing personal intended and later I will be back to not confirming or denying anything. Have fun!
- The Haitian earthquake was predicted to happen; scientists just did not know WHEN it would happen. Geologists have studies the earth movement in this area for years. Numerous reports had been written about the probabilily of earth quakes in this area due to the numerous faults in the earth in this area. The Haiti quake was so devestating due to Port-au-Prince being located right on top of two major faults, detected years ago, which scientist studied and showed each fault line moved in a different direction, creating a "Y". One fault moved ot the right; while the other fault moved to the left; worsening the problem is the earth crust is very shallow on this island, only 26 miles deep. The less earth depth, the move movement. The Calif Andres Fault is located on approx 450 mile deep earth, thus, creating minor shakes of earth, as apposed to the tremendous amout of movemnt in the two faults moving in shallow earth crust. Would the Haitian people move? NO. They are a very very poor country; they do not have the ways or means to move. The are poor and issolated. The govt does not provide a good infrastructure, such as sewer lines, water lines, building codes, requiring rebarb steel in concrete buildings. I hope with the rebuilding, stronger building codes will be in place, as the earths faults still remain....and again, it is not a matter of IF an earthquake will happen again, but a question again of WHEN...
- You are mistaken there was a psychic in Australia who predicted major earthquake activity in January 2010. Vine, a psychic from Melbourne Australia has been warning people around the world about major earthquake activity and also has been accurate with predicting earthquakes last year as well. I believe psychics can try to get the message out, but having to target warnings to a audience full of skeptics and cynics is something I wouldn't even want to try to do.
- They were misunderstood! The psychics all really said the city was going to rock and everybody was going to Get Down, and they thought it was just going to be a huge party. Oh the cursed gift!
- Haiti has had so many tragedies that even a non psychic could predict some great disaster in the near future and be right. Their buildings were crumbling even before the earthquake. It's in very poor taste to use them as an example.
- I've posed a similar question in answers that I have posted. I wonder why they never seem to get the "big ones" like the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, or the Christmas Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, the list goes on as long as you like, up to and including the recent earthquake in Haiti. I'm convinced no psychic predicted this event (or any other) because they can't. To the ones that have a "vision", I recommend buying space in a major newspaper to make public, in advance of a tragedy, the SPECIFICS of that tragedy. Give us a date, time, location, death toll, etc, rather than the same old trite and vague "prophecies" you always throw out there! Do this, and I will reconsider your claims.
- Let's face it no body predicted or monitered or had any idea this was coming what I am seeing here is after the fact claims of knowledge and prediction when the truth is neither science nor anything else got this one right.
