Can I get some advice on my Yu-Gi-Oh deck?

Hey guys, total beginner here. Tonight I'll be having my very first match (against my friend, but still) This is my deck. 1. Scrap the whole deck, other than the banned cards which you should take out and the staples, which is MST - or mystical space typhoon and card destruction, although it counts by what your deck is, dessert is for burn and such, your whole deck is outdated, I believe this deck was around spell ruler booster, and such. Your whole deck is full of random cards, useless normal cards, your better off buying a new structure deck, anything dark emperor and above is good, you need to buy 3 of those and make a deck out of those cards. This deck is very old, this is beginning of yugioh old, or so. You need to update, unless your friend has been playing around these years are so, there is no way you can win against your friend with this deck
2. well im guessing that you are just playing traditional format considering you have alot of banned cards. anyways just by looking at the deck i am going to say that stinks. you have a lot of non-effect monsters in your deck which puts you at a major disadvantage right from the start as normal monsters aren't really used except for maybe decks based around the card skill drain. you need to take out the toon cards as they are both useless to you since you dont even have a toon world magic card, also it looks to me like you got a kaiba, yugi, and pegasus deck and mashed them all together, not very smart imo. i would rate your deck a 2 out of 10 just for the fact you have a lot of powerful spell cards. you need to also increase your monsters, preferably low star monsters since you have a fair bit of sacrifice monsters and decrease some of the spell support. try to keep the cards as close to 40 as possible, the minimum so you will be more likely to get what you need.
3. I'm afraid this deck simply won't work. As a stop-gap, replace the toons and black illusion ritual, since they need specific other cards to work that you don't have. Even then you probably won't win unless your friend is using similar cards. On the other hand, if you haven't played before you'll at least be able to learn the mechanics. I'd suggest that you forget this deck. It's all old cards, most of which are either useless or banned. I'd suggest one of the structure decks (generally the later ones are better and don't rely on as many banned cards), since they tend to be designed with a specific goal in mind, and get multiple copies, so that you can combine the good cards from each.
4. By the looks of it, I'm guessing that you probably gathered cards from wherever you found them...Anyway, as for starters, try the following: 1. focus on a specific type of monster card. 2. Run 20 monsters, 10 spells, and 10 traps. (They must be good. Try getting some friendly advice on how to put together some strong cards.) 3.Read the rule book every now and then. Watch the episodes for a little assistance. 4. Definitely be up-to-date with the Forbidden/Limited/Semi-limited card list. You can find this list at www.yugioh-card.com Hope this helps.
5. to be honest this deck is a bit to old to win many duels. your best bet is to buy 3 of a structure deck(not a starter deck) then i will be glad to help more, but i cant see any real theme in this one, sorry
