Why do cleansed tarot decks never work for me?

I've used a number of tarot decks in my time. However, the older the deck, the better it works for me... Especially if it hasn't been cleansed. It's like if the cards only have my energy on them they don't work. I know it's not good to use old, worn decks. But why do cleansed cards and new decks not work for me? This is, by the way, after I've shuffled them a lot. For instance, I've been using the Gilded Tarot for 6 months, and it just doesn't perform. Yet, I picked up a $4 Mythic deck at a car boot sale, aiming to cleanse it and use it later, however, it worked far better without the cleansing, which I have now done - knowing that I'm meant to. You skeptics are great. This was a totally non-offensive question. Get over the fact that my personal philosohpy is unorthodox, k?

2. My old cards work better for me too i guess because they have been with you longer so its like your energy is already on them. Like they know you ( a little scary if you think about it) lol

4. I think that's mainly because they don't actually work for anyone. Edit: It's an honest and genuine answer. If you don't want such answers, then don't ask the question. If you think I'm wrong and have testable evidence that they work, I'm happy to look at it...
5. If I had to guess you're borrowing energy from other people. Maybe you're a very social person and shared energy works better for you then if it's solo. You might want to let other people play with your cards a bit, and see if that works for you better as well.
6. asti its a sad fact of life theer are a lot of people who cant see past their own views and knowledge, and bleeive they know the truth they dont realise they sound as fundie asany religious fundie, but leave them to it, its their issues their arrogance will be their own downfall i liek aya roses answer, i thin k thats probaly the best answer or explanation
