How to make a paper fortune teller?

I was telling my children about paper fortune tellers, but i couldn't remember what one writes in the folds. I know it could things like opposite gender for who you're going to fall in love with, number of children you were to have, a big or small house, etc. I understand the range of outcomes may be vast, but where exactly to write down on the fortune teller I couldn't remember. I do remember holding up a flap, but after that i'm blank. Please help me. my kids are looking for a cool activity to do.

1. You start off coloring a circle (In four different colors) on each of the four triangles on top, when you're holding the fortune teller in your hand. Then, you write different numbers on the inside (8 total = four on the triangles [when opened vertically] & four on the triangles [when opened horizontally]). When you unfold one of the triangular flaps you just wrote a number on, you'll notice a crease "seperating" that triangle in half. You're supposed to write one "fortune" into each side of the triangle. :D Hope this helps!

3. Your description is making me think of two different things: a paper fortune teller (or a cootie catcher) and the game M.A.S.H. Here's a website that tells you how to make a cootie catcher http://www.momsminivan.com/article-cootie-catcher.html With M.A.S.H. the categories I typically think of are: -spouse -honeymoon location -car -salary -number of children -career -wedding dress color (or car if for a boy) but I don't think there was a certain order they had to be put in.
4. take a square piece of of paper. Fold in half into a triangle, open paper, fold the other way into a triangle shape, open up....now you have a square with an "X' crease. now, fold all four corners towards the center to create a small square. turn over and do the same to the other side. fold that into a rectangle shape. now it is ready to gently open into your fortune teller. the sky is the limit to what to put on outside or insides. usually you make the top 4 squares a different color..you ask them to pick a color, then you open and close while spelling the color. Then they pick a number (you number those second areas inside)...you open and close again to that number. Do this as many times as you like, or any variation. Finally, you have them pick a number to then open an reveal a hidden message inside. I stick with silly things like...you will live on mars in the future; or, you have a hidden third eye somewhere on your face.
