how do tarot cards work?

i love tarots, i find them amazing. They have the ability to connect with you and answer any questions you may have about who you are and the events that are to come. I was wondering though, how do they work? Is there really such a thing as spiritual connection, or is it just all tricks and coincidences?

2. Basically, they don't. Need proof, try asking the same question to 3 different card readers. It is assured you will recieve 3 entirely different readings. Better yet, change how you dress between readings, and watch the "cold reading" nonsense ensue.
