Mystical Angels

Seriously, is there anyone out there who believes that sleep and dreams are more than some mystical way of?

sending us puzzles to interpret in any silly way that we can get away with? Their function must be of the utmost importance to life here on earth. All life has this part which makes us what we are, even life that does not appear to sleep. The subconscious works 24/7 absorbing what we experience and using those experiences when we sleep. Where can I find research that is taking place with this in mind? Help!

  1. Well there are three main schools of thought of the meaning or purpose of dreams. The first is that they have somekind of clairvoyant role, which I mentioned first to dismiss it as the rope smoking hippy bullshit that is very much is. Second, is the though that they possess links to the very working of the subconscious, and represent what we are worrying about, what we are preoccupied with and what concerns us, whether we know it or not. The third is quite simply that it's a load of random, meaningless crap that just keeps the part of the brain that can't go to sleep occupied while the rest of you rests. Up to you which one you believe. Lots of research has been done over time concerning it, by most of the big names in psychology.
  2. some people just dismiss it as random b.s. some people say its messages from God, etc..... the answers could go on for days depending on who you are and what you believe... In my experiences between my own dreams and interpreting other peoples dreams i have found that your dreams are very much related to what you go through on a day to day basis, turned into a metaphor. I cant explain why but i do know that often times our dreams will explain a problem we are having along with a not so obvious solution. this isn't always the case. In just the same token our dreams will also only take a problem that we are dealing with and just turn it into a metaphor, or puzzle if you will.... and its not just to jack with you, its because of what your body is doing while it is sleeping, Your body is shutting down and resting, so the part of your logical mind that you use all day long is also shutting down and resting... the problem kicks in when you have a pressing issue that you are concerned about or dealing with in your day to day life. thats when you think about it in your sleep as well as your waking hours, only because your mind has to rest, does the side of your brain that you DON'T use all day kicks in and turns it into a metaphor and a visual examination of what you are dealing with...hence the reason why reoccuring dreams are issues you haven't dealt with.....once you deal with the issue the dream stops. I could go on for days trying to explain why we have the dreams we do and what there purpose is, but in an attempt to keep it short and sweet... ALL dreams are, are metaphors of our waking hours and daily experiences, granted they may seem weird and unusual but thats only because we don't practice remembering them and interpreting them...if we did it enough, we would understand what they mean when we have them....Its not a supernatural deal or a strange thing...It's just a normal bodily function that society has yet to come to terms with, almost like religion.
