Why would a "psychic" do this?

I was hanging out with a girl in the city (NY) This girl is so important to me, I really like her a lot and want her back in my life. There are a lot of weird pyschic places and tarot card readings/ palm reading etc. in the area where we were walking. It was so cheap, just $10 so we decided we'll do it. Just for fun. The psychic b**** said she will take us one by one. I went in first and she told me I was "meant" to be with another girl. I clearly told her, I don't want to be with the girl she is talking about and that I am interested in this girl who came with me. She was so blunt.. she's like "o you are gonna break up with this girl in 6 months" She will not measure up to your expectations. Then she goes, you were supposed to be with the last girl you were with before this one, its wrong that you two broke up and its due to someone jealous who did some kind of voodoo to make you break up. I didn't bother to tell her that the "that" girl cheated on me and I found out. I meant to ask her, if we are so "supposed" to be together then why did we go our separate ways anyways? I mean whats the point of something thats "meant to be" if it doesn't actually turns out "to be" Do you get my logic here? Anyway, the psychic ruined the day for us. I don't know what she told this girl. Probably that I wasn't meant to be with her.. same thing. What a ****** *****. This girl didn't say anything about what the psychic told her and I was too afraid to ask her because even I didn't want to talk about it. Btw., i don't believe in this stuff but some of the things she said were kind of true and its kind of shocking that she knew stuff about me. She didn't get me to talk so I'd spill something or anything like that. She looked at me and saw my hand and started telling me my past history with appox dates which were pretty accurate. Like she was like I know you broke up with a girl in 2006 and that was the end of a chapter. And you dated a girl for 2-1/2 years since 2007 and when that relationship ended you took it really hard.. (which is true., but the only reason I took it hard was because she cheated on me. I mean, I was gonna make a clean break anyway. I was thinking about it) Anyway, this psychic really got under my skin, I feel like going back to her tomorrow alone., and ask her that she should stop fucking with my head if thats what she's doing because that is really messed up to cause problems between two people who are clearly interested in each other and are on a date for crying out loud. she also told me that my aura is golden and that its a really good thing but there are some "negative" energies in my aura which need to be cleaned up. idk somehow spiritually. = ) grrr, you're the best.

  1. Yea, your question is to long for me. But thanks for the points :3
  2. From what you said, you're kind of describing my experiences with "psychics". I think it probably wasn't the best idea for you to go see a psychic while you were on a date with the person you wanted to ask the psychic questions abut, but what's done is done, so it needs to be rectified. First off, with the girl, I think you should mention it in a casual manner, like "Oh haha wasn't that so crazy what the psychic said today..." blah blah... Just to see if she opens up and tells you what was said to her. Just pretend like nothing bothered you, and laugh it off with her, this way, if she feels uncomfortable, it'll most likely lighten her up about the experience. If you tell her that you didn't put too much stock into what the psychic said, she'll probably laugh it off with you. As for you going back, well I'm not sure I would recommend that. You said this lady got under your skin the first time around; what do you expect will happen if you go back a second time (PAYING her, mind you) and she tells you more things you don't want to hear? I don't think you should let what she said bother you though. If you feel like things are going great between you and this girl, go with your own gut feelings on it, not someone else's. The thing with "psychics" is that even the most highly recognized ones will even tell you that they are not always 100% accurate. I have been to quite a few, in all price ranges, and some of the stuff I heard was just outrageous. One psychic even told my friend and I the same thing LMAO. It was classic later when we compared notes. In my dealings with psychics, some things were accurate and some were not. I was told to expect a few things during most recent Tarot reading, so I guess I'll see what happens with that... I DO believe that people can be legitimately psychic, but there's definitely a less percentage of legit's out there than there are con artists. Try not to let it get to you, and if you do end up going back, just take the things she says with a grain of salt.
  3. I read ALL your post ; OK my first question is this one ;; Why are you so upset about this reading ? You are saying that you get along very well with this girl ; so enjoy this relation > Psychic are not God ; and even if she was quite accurate on some past event ; that doesn't mean ; she would be accurate for the future Note as a psychic myself ; I can tell you that I am doing mistake about the future and its totally normal ; because I am NOT God ; so just enjoy your gf and the happiness who is surrounding you and your present
  4. You got ripped off.
  5. She's a scammer, she's trying to make you come back to pay her to "undo" the supposed spell that made your last girlfriend cheat on you. She'd also want you to pay to undo the darkness in your aura. Then, if you went along, most likely she would claim the spell was stronger than she thought, and would ask for increasingly large amounts of money or expensive items (I once heard of a scam fortune teller who made a victim buy her a new Mac computer so she could use it to "show him a picture" of the person she claimed put the spell on him.) It's a really common con. REALLY COMMON. Maybe as many as half the professional fortune tellers pull this crap in some areas. I tend to say, beware of any fortune teller who says you're cursed or have a spell on you (especially if you didn't think you'd had one till you went there) As to the stuff she got right, either A) she gave a cold reading, which is designed to say carefully vague things that wind up sounding like they were correct statements, or B) she actually has some kind of ability (either as a psychic or palm reader or, if you don't believe in it, as judging/reading people's behavior in some way) but found she made more money as a scammer. Anyway, I'd advise against going back there. Depending on state laws you could maybe report her for something, but I'd say you are probably best off just letting it go and getting on with your life.
