Mystical Angels

Mystical-sounding names with a 'y' in them?

for a book I'm writing. The girl is a half-elf, but she doesn't know it. she has black hair, green eyes, and she's light and graceful. she's shy but has a firey personality. i want her name to sound mystical and have a 'y' in it, but not really, REALLY strange, like Uyopya(i actually got that from my 16-yr-old sister's friend's mom). Thanks!

  2. Here's the thing...I get a bit frustrated when I'm reading a book and they have a crazy name that I can't figure out because then I have to take time to try to decipher it when I'm trying to read the story. So...nothing wrong with finding a cool name, but keep it simple!
  3. Aya Ayla Lyanne (lee-ann)
  4. I also don't like complected names in a book..... but I do have an idea...it doesn't have a 'y' in it but i think it would fit and its not hard too pronounce. How about Ophelia (O-fee-lea) It's one of my favorite names :)
  5. Yora Elwia "ELL-wee-uh" Eya "AY-uh" or "EYE-uh" Enya "Enn-yuh" Yara Yaria "YAH-ree-uh" or "yuh-REE-uh" if you wanted. Gwendolyn Lyna "LY-nuh" Yassa "YAH-suh" Ayla "AY-luh" Leyla "LEY-luh"... I like the spelling Leila more. Maya "MY-uh" or Myah/Mya if you wanted to go a bit out there. Just be sure to put in some sort of pronunciation guide, because some of these are a bit strange. High five, I'm writing several books too.
  6. Well I would name that character Opal, or Amethyst has a y in it. It's really hard to find names like that, I suggest that you google it on a baby names site?
