How to have more mystical experiences?

My friend is getting frustrated at his lack of results. He is enrolled in a soul development course, though in the beginning stages, he would like some answers on how to improve his rate of experiencing the mystical. He usually tries different drugs to induce such effects. No anti drug answers please, that was not my question.

5. The Best Mystical is in Islam. No drug needed ! Not for Material Purpose orientation. No Magic! It's all to do to be more close to God. feel God in your hearth. Not for Miracle purpose, but most of them got it. Most of them have good intuition..... Special Study in Islam about Mystical is in Tarekat Education. But unfortunately, only the lucky one can be Scholar from the Tarekat Teacher. Most of Great Muslim Philosopher learned Sufism/Tarekat (Toriqoh). Kind of Tarekat: Naqsyabandi/Naqshband Qadiri Naqshband Haq (Haqqani) Khalidiyah, and many more.... :) he he he....
