What do you think about the police consulting psychics during investigations that are hard to solve?
Since many believe that psychics are a fraud, then what about the people that the psychics help arrest? do you believe they are innocent?
Public Comments
- While they may indeed be frauds, they seem to be bearing SOME kind of fruit...
- I have heard that they do that to placate the public who is sceaming indignantly that the cops don't even care enough to listen. I sure hope that's the reason why. FWIW, the statistics of psychic detectives solving crimes is as effective as letting a chicken randomly peck at a list of suspects.
- Psychics don't give investigators any useful information. If you say they do, cite your source(s).
- No psychic has ever been able to claim the James Randi Foundation $1 million prize. None have ever been proven to actually help in solving a crime. Police who claim psychics help are brain addled idiots.
- I'm pretty sure they only really do that on TV. If you talk to any real cop, they'll say they'd never consider using a so-called psychic during their crime investigations. I've actually heard of some cops who when they already know what happened will ask a "psychic" in order to test if they're for real. They never get it right.
- Many Christians believe psychics are practicing satanism
- I think there might be less crime if the police don't bring fame to people who are operating the devil spirits, called "familiar spirits", who are influencing the crimes to begin with. Familiar spirits are devils spirits that watch what goes on with people, and influence it, in order to mislead people about spiritual things.
- When one comes to any dead end, one will try/do anything to continue on the path.
- If a cop has ever consulted a psychic he is worthless as a witness in any future legal proceedings.
- I think there is a miscarraige of justice is the police get "evidence" from so-called psychics. Their fraud harms people's lives. For example, Sylvia Browne said Shawn Hornbeck, a missing child, was dead. Turns out he wasn't. Turns out he was being molested for four years. I doubt the police listened to her. The parents didn't give up, although the mental images of his broken body on jagged rocks surely caused distress. If police waste time tracking down so-called leads from so-called psychics, then real leads may go cold. Take for example the case of Christine Jessop, when she was abducted psychics and dowsers flooded the police with tips to her location. There was a credible eye witness, though, of a girl struggling in a car... that wasn't investigated for weeks. So-called psychics who tip the police should be charged with impeding an investigation. Police departments who follow psychic tips should be thoroughly investigated by IA.
- The UK police have recently said that all the so called assistance they gave was a waste of police time and misled the investigations!!
- Hello I have a friend who has worked with the police force for over 40 years to help them. They would never admit this publically and she has to invoice her services as being a "security consultant". I believe she has helped the police many many times. Lots of Love Misscpb xxx
