Serious question about house dwelling mystical beings.?

I'm not exactly sure how to ask this but I was wondering if anyone on here knew anything about any type of house dwelling demon, faerie, elf or even ghost that could suck the life out of a place and the people who live in it? i know it sounds farfetched to some but the house that i live in with my family has been in the family since my mom was a kid and there is a lot of negative energy in the house. everyone who dwells in it mostly has a general feeling of ennui 90% of the time plus we all get sick/have weird things happen to us more than the general person. i myself am a practicing witch and i know for a fact that things like this can be real so i was just wondering if anyone knew of any THING that could be doing this or if it could just be the negative energy and more importantly what the heck i can do about it :-/ any help would be much appreciated. yes druid, i do have y im! i practice white magic but not regularly and not for a while, however this feeling of ennui and everything has been going on for years. my family has always lived on and owned this property and it's about 50 years old. we've had a lot of family drama on the property and that's where the negative energy comes from. i agree that me doing spells could have opened doors but the only spells i have ever done have been protection on the house and things of the sort, little blessings and such, which is why i disagree that it's my fault that this is happening. i'm not a very skilled witch so i really think that something like this is out of my league which is why i don't know what to do. oh and druid it's not letting me im you :( could you try again? i think i changed it so you could thank you kagmi that was very helpful, i just have no experience with exorcisms or blessings so i think i'm out of my league :( i doubt i could perform such a thing. and i definitely agree, we've all gotten so used to it, pretty much accepted it that it's really got it's claws in us :-\

2. One word : demon. That's all there is to it. It will bring everything down. It feeds on your negative energy. You get sad, mad; it grows stronger. You'd probably find you and your family fighting more as well. Witchcraft. I don't know if you're doing white or black or anything else so I can't really say much more on that. When you get involved in the occult it can drag things in. Being a witch, as harmless as it sounds has ways of opening unwanted doors whether you want them opened or not. This could be contributing to the problem. I've done stuff myself so i know it can get intense.. Umm. I'd probably look into your house's history. See who lived there last even. Do NOT use a ouija board, or pendulum, or any of that stuff used to communicate with the dead because that will just fuck you over. Either way, it seems to me like you have a demon. You've gotta bless the house and property and all that. It really depends to be honest. Just read up on how to get rid of demonic forces and you should be well on your way. Hope that helps. 3. Hmm, I've heard a lot of different theories about such negative energies and entities. The two prevailing views seem to be that either such negative entities are linked to a certain geographic location, or that they are mobile and will opportunistically attach themselves to certain places or families that are especially receptive to them. I'd recommend an exorcism or a house blessing. I've heard that Catholic blessings and exorcisms seem to be particularly effective for house hauntings/curses/negative energies. I've also heard of other ceremonies working, such as Native American exorcisms. I'm guessing that a blessing or expulsion is what you want to do. Whatever the negative energy or entity is, it is probably able to affect your family partially because you have gotten used to its presence and accepted its affects. No malevolent entity should be able to continue influencing a house or a family if they forcefully and finally cast it out and reject the possibility that it has any power over them. I do have some limited experience with Catholic exorcism, so you can email or IM me if you still have questions. I only really know the perspective of one religion on it, but that perspective has worked really well in my experience.
4. There are such things as "sick buildings" which have airborne "clutter" that can accumulate and make the residents ill over time. One thing I'd check on first (just to be systematic about the elimination of possibilities) would be to check for "black mold". Another would be to bring in a HEPA air filter or use insert something like the "gold" colored PuraFilters. Stuff like cotton lint from dryers (inside the living area(s)) can accumulate over time...not be visible...and make you sick. The next thing I'd do (presuming the above doesn't provide relief) is check to see if the house is on or adjacent to an intersection of Ley Lines. The World Grid becomes "stimulated" during the Sabbat periods as well as during significant planetary transits and Portals can open spontaneously at an intersection like that. Third, as others have suggested...is to consider an exorcism. Your syntax indicates you're probably more of a mystic than a Ceremonialist.
