What do the Bible and other sources say about the nature of healing, what is involved with spiritual healing?
... not speaking about physical healing, like a cut or broken bone; but spiritual healing specifically.

- spiritual meat and drink 1 Cor 10:3-4 Our spirit is healed through Christ by the Holy Spirit Eph 1: 3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. I hope that helps . Good question. I would like to see the other responses.
- Here are a couple verses from the Quran related to healing: 66 And verily In the cattle, there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, from between excretions and blood, pure milk; palatable to the drinkers. 67 And from the fruits of date-palms and grapes, you derive strong drink and a goodly provision. Verily, therein is indeed a sign for people who have wisdom. 68 And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations; 69 Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought. [10:68-69] We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss. [17:82] Hope this helps.
- The bible IS spirtual healing supposedly. You read it, understand it and the Lord makes it food for the soul. Spiritual healing, or it's scientific name spontaneous remission, manifests in physical or psychological curing of problems. The soul is immortal but the link between the soul and physical body is what spiritual healing works on. It's a whole subject on it's own.

- I can only speak knowledgeably on what the Bible says about spiritual healing. Jeremiah 8:22 says: "Is there no balsam in Gilead? Or is there no healer there?" Balsam is oil that was used for medicinal purposes in the ancient Middle Eastern world. That question in Jeremiah was asked because the Israelites were spiritually "sick" and could have availed themselves of a spiritual "cure" by following God's direction, but they chose not to. So they acted as if there was no balsam - or spiritual healing - available, though there was. The spiritual healing available today is the "good news of the Kingdom", which is what Jesus preached while he was on earth. (Matthew 9:35) And Jesus declared that he fulfilled what Isaiah 61:1 says, which is, "Jehovah has anointed me to tell good news to the meek ones. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted." Because of its comforting effect, this "good news" binds up and soothes the wounds that the world inflicts upon us. Revelation 21:4 is only one example of a scripture that provides spiritual healing. That verse promises: "[God] will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain." Just think about that: Jehovah God promises you and I that one day he will eliminate all causes of sadness and pain - whether it be mental, emotional or physical. That passage describes a wonderful time to look forward to, and provides great spiritual healing now to those who put faith in those words. If you'd like to learn more about this spiritual healing by means of comforting words in the Bible, feel free to speak with Jehovah's Witnesses in your area. They will be glad to show you more verses like Revelation 21:4 in your copy of the Bible.
- The spiritual healing occurs when one comes to Jesus. Our sins are forgiven (Acts 2:38) and our conscience is cleansed (1 Peter 3:20).
- James 5:14 fir physical 1st Jn 1:9 begins spiritual healing with repentance.
