- Look on line...google it ....maybe ebay..one of those places..Good Luck!
- Tarot cards are sold generally in new age type of stores. They can range widely in price. To begin learning the tarot, I would suggest the Rider-Waite deck. This is the deck that I teach my students with, as all the symbols, colour combinations, images are clear and not missing much. Careful of buying a deck that looks really different for your first deck. There are over 5,000 different types of decks, and most are an artist point of view, many who truly do not understand the tarot. Emily Peach's book called the Tarot is a very complete and solid book. Eden Gray (one of the best basic book on the tarot), and nowadays although he uses the Robinhood deck, is Anthony Louis, yes also an astrologer, who lives in NJ, has a good tarot book. Learn the major before the minor. Also learn how to look after your deck. Which should have a silk or cotton wrap, and kept in a wood or stone box. When you spread your cards out, they should be on a natural cloth just for this purpose. I usually encourage for my students velvet. Strongly recommend to use the colours of either, blue, green, purple, never, red, white, black, or loud colours. There are reasons for all of this, too long to write here in this format. Hope this helps.
- Barnes & Noble has them.
- You can buy them online easily enough, but if you want a local store you have a couple of options. I prefer to frequent and support my locally owned metaphysical shops. To find one in your area, search www.witchvox.com or possibly do a Google maps search for "tarot" or "metaphysical" in your area. If you can't find a locally owned outlet, then try big bookstores. Barnes and Noble and some other big box bookstores often have a small collection of tarot decks. -Scarlet
