What's the difference between a psychic reading and a tarot card reading?

I want to see a psychic and she offers a psychic reading and a tarot card reading. Does anyone know what the difference is?

13. Hello Cherry The word Psychic is an umbrella word, it can mean the reader is Clairvoyant, Medium etc. Yet a Psychic will & often do use Tarot. A Tarot reader can be psychic as above, or they can also be a Tarologist which means that they simply read the traditional meaning of the cards themselves. If you have found a reader your interested in, just ask them how they work. As there is such a lot of meaning placed on labels & with those labels meaning different things to different people asking is the best way to avoid confusion. Pam

In psychic readings, the reader is using his or hers intuition to acquire psychic information, and no additional tools are required. A psychic is often looking at aura, chakras etc, while the Tarot reader is not looking at the person, but at the cards, only.
