If I mystical space typhoon my opponents Dragunity Aklys, Does it still destroy a card?

If I mystical space typhoon my opponents Dragunity Aklys while equipped to Dragunity Legionnaire, Does it still destroy a card with Aklys's effect?

1. ...aklys only destroys something when something like that happens....if u heavy storm it ... Same thing...so yes
2. Yes aklas' effect still works and still destroys a card, the only way to avoid this is to remove the monster it's equipped to (or aklas) from play or return it to the hand.
3. "When this card is sent to the Graveyard while equipped to a monster, select 1 card on the field, and destroy it". So long as it was equipped to a monster when Mystical Space Typhoon destroyed it, it's effect will activate.
