Mystical Angels

Where in the U.S. is the most mystical spot you either have ever been to or heard about?

Not counting Sedona, AZ, I mean? I am looking for some place you have been that had a fairy-like setting to it?

Public Comments

  1. Painted Desert in July during a thunderstorm. Seemed surreal.
  2. There's this spot in Alaska on the Seward Highway about 40ish miles out of Anchorage known as Bear Valley. It's too ethereal to describe ... the mountains, the glaciers, the inlet, the wild life ... it's all there, coupled with long summers and the Northern Lights in the winter. Love Sedona and the Painted Desert and Four Corners, but this place is totally surreal.
  3. I took an eco-tour into an old-growth forest outside of Portland, Oregon. It was like being in another world or another time. Amazing!
  4. I have been to a friend's acreage near Blue Eye, Missouri.....filled with caves, springs and waterfalls. Has an energy that makes your body tingle. A truly wonderful place, has an otherworldly atmosphere, filled with moss and ferns and wildflowers. Feels like something out of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
  5. If going for scenery, Valley of Fire in Southern Nevada id beautiful. I think you can imagine just about anything there.
  6. You need to come up to the mountains of Montana. There are many places but one in particular is off the main drag. It is in the Pryor Mountains of SC Montana. You need to walk down to a place called crooked crick. Very mystical. I would definitely suspect fairy's to live there.
  7. The enchanting coastline of San Simion, California.
  8. Bryce Canyon..."It's a hell of a place to lose a cow."
  9. Great Sand Dunes National Monument near Alamosa, Colorado. When the wind blows and the light changes colors rippling over the dunes and the surrounding water, during a sudden rainstorm. The whole place changes in five minutes This place is magical and almost haunting.
  10. There's some strange stuff that is psycho in "Mystery Spot Michigan" (after the fact, think it's nothing but optical illusion)
  11. Columcille, just outside Bangor, PA.
  12. While camping in Sequoia National Park many years ago with my husband and sons and our best friends, someone nearby entertained the campground with some flute music. I don't remember what the music was, but it was beautiful and so perfect for the setting. We didn't know just where the person was camped, but it was magical to us.
  13. Well.....I lived in Cassadaga Fl.....home to the mystics and psychics.....but didn't do a thing for me. My personal Mystic place in at the foot of some falls in upstate New York. (My secret spot....I know the name)
  14. i was going to say sedona , Az, But how about the Yellowstone National Park, Those mud pots , steam & sulfur smell looks & smells like something out of this world
