Why do Atheists choose the other probability?
The mathematical probability of a SINGLE CELL coming about by chance is 1/10340,000,000, the fraction 1 divided by 1 followed by 340 million zeros! And then this cell must live long enough to reproduceAnd then the reproduced cell must live long enough to do the same. And then more "accidents" must happen to cause more complexity. And then more "accidents" must happen to cause more complexity. And long before the first "accident" evolution is nothing but a silly, mystical fairy tale. Let us apply this theory of probability to the Qur’an, and assume that a person has guessed all the information that is mentioned in the Qur’an which was unknown at that time. Let us discuss the probability of all the guesses being simultaneously correct. At the time when the Qur’an was revealed, people thought the world was flat, there are several other options for the shape of the earth. It could be triangular, it could be quadrangular, pentagonal, hexagonal, heptagonal, octagonal, spherical, etc. Lets assume there are about 30 different options for the shape of the earth. The Qur’an rightly says it is spherical, if it was a guess the chances of the guess being correct is 1/30. The light of the moon can be its own light or a reflected light. The Qur’an rightly says it is a reflected light. If it is a guess, the chances that it will be correct is 1/2 and the probability that both the guesses i.e the earth is spherical and the light of the moon is reflected light is 1/30 x 1/2 = 1/60. The Qur’an speaks about hundreds of things that were not known to men at the time of its revelation. Only in three options the result is .0017%. I leave it upto you, to work out the probability if all the hundreds of the unknown facts were guesses, the chances of all of them being correct guesses simultaneously and there being not a single wrong guess. It is beyond human capacity to make all correct guesses without a single mistake, which itself is sufficient to prove to a logical person that the origin of the Qur’an is Divine. The only logical answer to the question as to who could have mentioned all these scientific facts 1400 years ago before they were discovered, is exactly the same answer initially given by the atheist or any person, to the question who will be the first person who will be able to tell the mechanism of the unknown object. It is the ‘CREATOR’, the producer, the Manufacturer of the whole universe and its contents. In the English language He is ‘God’. Let me remind you that the Qur’an is not a book of Science, ‘S-C-I-E-N-C-E’ but a book of Signs ‘S-I-G-N-S’ i.e. a book of ayaats. The Qur’an contains more than 6,000 ayaats, i.e. ‘signs’, out of which more than a thousand speak about Science. I am not trying to prove that the Qur’an is the word of God using scientific knowledge as a yard stick because any yardstick is supposed to be more superior than what is being checked or verified. For us Muslims the Qur’an is the Furqan i.e. criteria to judge right from wrong and the ultimate yardstick which is more superior to scientific knowledge.

- So the probability of a magic man creating the entire universe and his sole focus being on one speck of a planet is more probable? Maybe if it was a Disney story...
- People have known the world was a sphere for over 2200 years, fool. If you picked up an extra book once in a while and did some research on the Greeks you'd know that. Doing it over and over would fix your problems with evolution too.
- Yes, but given a practically infinite amount of time and space turns out that improbable things are much more likely to happen somewhere at some time And 10340,000,000 isn't 1 followed by 340 million zeros, it's 10.34 billion. Massively smaller I think you'll find.
- Not this old chestnut. My best answer is not bothering to point out that given enough time anything can happen... But seriously, your claiming that the Quran was the first to state that the moon was a reflector? This link debunks it. http://www.mukto-mona.com/Articles/avijit/Quran_miracle2.htm Your Quranic 'spherical earth' claim is well debunked also. But I guess you knew that the Quran basically states that 'the earth is flat and mountains are pegs'. You are right about one thing, the Quran is not a book of science. Which leads me to ask...why do you support and manipulate the pseudoscience of the Quran?
- Many of the instances that you choose could have been known by intelligent men even back then. To see the eclipse of the Moon is to realize that it reflects light and does not give it off itself. To see the round curve of the Horizon from a tall hill is to make the assumption that the earth is round. Et cetera. Let us assume that you were right when you said that your figure equaled the number that you state. Indeed the chances of that single cell originating are quite small. Which i would assume is why none of the other Planets in our Solar System have life. There are far more than 340 million Planets in this Universe. So i would say that 1 in 340 million fits into the realm of possibility. Going by this assertion there would be more than one Planet on which life happened. Right?
- All those shapes you mentioned aside from "Spherical" are 2D... In other words your strecting the actual number 1/2 to 1/30...That is ridiculous. Flat is Flat you idiot! A hexagon is just as flat as Triangle. Don't play with fractions & percentages like that helps your case any. There was flat & then there was round. Your "holy" book guessed right...So what? Was it really that difficult? Not as difficult as guessing the distance to the sun, I'll tell you that much. "As far as we can tell nobody ever considered the world to be any shape except round! The very earliest writings always describe the world as a dome or an upturned bowl or as a pile of soil or similar descriptions. So we can assume that people never thought the world was anything but round! That makes sense since anyone who climbed even a small mountain could see quite clearly that the world curves away equally on all sides. As a result they assumed it was shaped like a dome, with their location near the top." More Info: ------------- Some 300 years after Pythagoras wrote about Earth being round, another Greek, Eratosthenes, calculated the Earth’s radius. He used the distance between two cities and the angle of the sun’s rays made at midsummer at noon. His measurement turned out to be 15 percent too large, but still impressive, considering it was done over 2600 years ago. Islam was founded (in the historical sense) 1437 years ago.
- see more http://sultan.org/articles/QScience.html that's not all..
- what's the probability that a spiritual essence of ultimate and total knowledge would be such a narcissistic, co-dependent, mental midget, prick that it would require positive re-enforcement from lowly mortals at least every sunday, let alone five times a day? the concept of "do what i say and i'll treat you right, do otherwise and you'll be punished" doesn't ring of divinity. it sounds very much like the insecurities intrinsic to a human power play. if you can't be a strong leader, the next best thing is to create weaker followers, sheep, if you will.
- Atheists are in love with themselves , they are unable or unwilling to see past the end of their nose . They claim not to be a religion , yet they are organized . If they simply did not believe in God , ok . But they actively campaign against God ; they have declared war against one they claim does not exist , therefore they are hypocrites . Many atheists ( some well known ) have on their death bed , made attempts at reconciling their miserable lives to God . They claim not to be a religion ; but indeed , are and the name of their religion is "secular humanism " .
- The probability of life coming into existence on it's on is better than a god creating himself and then doing it all.
- because even though the words Islam and terrorist are oxymoron's, they associate the two, which causes the problems we are having in which more people are becoming atheist
- The odds of my rolling snake eyes six times in a row is remote. If it happens, does it mean an invisible sky deity is responsible? We can look back on any particular combination of events and observe how unlikely it was mathematically, but that certainly doesn't prove the unlikely existence of an omnipotent being. You think the surival of the fittest and CHANGE OVER TIME is a mystical fairy tale?? My, you type well for a sperm. I would think that common sense and science is less a fairy tale than the belief that an all powerful invisible being zapped the universe into existence, but then logic has never been popular with theists, has it? Take a high school reasoning class and come back.
