Death Tarot Card?

I am afraid. I tried free online tarot card reading and one of my cards was Death. Is that bad? Am I going to die? Or... does it have a better explanation?

The Death card usually does not have to mean the physical death of a person. It often means the death of "something" -- in other words, a big change is on the horizon.
The death card, surprisingly, has little to do with death, and more to do with new beginnings. Some chapter of your life is going to come to a close, and new one will begin. That's all it means.

no... it doesnt really mean anything, if you think it does I will tell you that as far as definitions go in tarot the death card can mean many things, one of them is renewal and rebirth. It almost never means someone is actually going to die...
It means something in your life that isn't doing you any good anymore is going to disappear in some way, and it is up to you to make the transition easy or hard. If there is something unhealthy in your life, it's time to let it go and go find something better.
I don't believe in Tarot but from what I've read none of the cards mean what they depict. The death card usually, depending on the reader and system they're using, means "change" rather than death. Likely it should be interpreted as your life will be changing or you'll be going through some sort of metamorphosis, spiritually or socially. Then again, like I said, I think it's all bunk to begin with but the description above is accurate as far as my knowledge goes. Good luck!
The Death tarot card doesn't necessarily indicate that an actual death is going to happen (but in some graver situations it sadly might). A more accurate description would be that it indicates a Change or a turning of events. And you can't simply take the meaning of one card by itself, you need to factor in the cards around it. The Death card isn't always bad! Get a book on tarot if you want to read up more.

In the Tarot the death card represents Change.
It does not mean literal death in most cases. It means the death of an old way of being that no longer serves you.

it means you are reaching the end of one situation or relationship,job,home what ever and starting a new cycle in that area.
No that's not bad. It means change is ahead. And cards don't lie. Ever. (That's for the benefit of the dimwits who think it's bunk. )
It means absolutely nothing. A computer program generated your reading and it probably gives that card to every 10th or 15th person.
Tarot card is simply in the domain of the evil one-satan. Thus, he deceives tarot card players by giving half-truth which as a whole is false. Thus, do not believe in the tarot card but instead believe THE LORD GOD. Likewise, death is shown by satan as a frightening experience but it is not. It means change, transformation, moving out of / into a cycle. If you are Scorpio, then that card would possibly represent you. In order to predict physical death there must be certain other cards present. You're moving on to the next level of something. But it's not telling you that you're going to die. I don't know why people always assume that when they see that card.
Be not concerned: First of all, your reading on the Internet is somewhat phony because you do not pick the cards. You are picking illusion. If you want a real reading , go to someone who has a real deck of cards and is qualified to read them for you. The 13Th's card is a card of transition. The meaning is a mystical one. It means that it is a better than usual card. It means rebirth, creation, destination, renewal or a transition. It could mean that you are becoming enlightened and moving from your past density to a higher state of consciousness. Sometimes people believe in darkness and attract what they fear. The death card is not a bad thing, it can mean the death or end of a situation, a relationship, job etc....it usually means that something is coming to an end. You would need to know the cards around it and how it relates to the nature of the question you asked and got that card, but do not be afraid, my thought is something or some situation in your life is ending.
There is a finality to something that the reading addressed, and you cannot to back to something the way it was before. This is graphic, but if you think of a corpse, flesh decomposing, no matter what, it cannot become a living breathing person again. Just like you cannot return a child to the womb, the Death card signifies in non-returnable energy. The energy will recycle itself into a new manifestation of the former one. So, let's say you asked about a relationship, it won't be the same as you once knew it, it will transform itself into a different expression of manifesation.
