Question About Reading Tarot Cards?
When reading the cards, are you looking for a specific answer to the question? or Are you looking at a general story the Tarot cards are telling about the person/subject in question? No Answers from Haters or Religious Fundies please. I won't bother reading any anti-Tarot rants. Thanks.

- I THINK THAT DEPENDS ON THE SEE'ER AND THE QUESTION BEING ASKED. I THINK EITHER ONE CAN APPLY.
- I agree with ina_nuts. Depends on the reader. Personally I only have used them as tools for self discovery and am not proficient in reading for others.
- Sometimes that would depend on the spread being used. I personally like the cabalic Sepiroth (sp??) Tree of Life spread- it isn't supposed to answer very specific quesitons, but it gives me an overall look at exactly where I am (karmically, spiritually, etc), which can aid me in figuring out the answers to questions.
- Actually, you can do all of that and a lot more. It depends upon how you set up the question or topic. For example, I've had folks just sit down across the reading table and ask for "a reading." Others will sit down and ask a very specific question with a time line. My wife and I both do readings professionally and we find the queries have three levels: The first is the general reading. My wife calls it the "Go Fish." The person just wants to see what we have to say. The second is an area of life - such as love life, career, or finances. The third is a specific question within a time frame. I had a reading about 6 months ago by a young lady. She had waited for almost an hour. I asked how long a reading she wanted, and she said as long as it took. She said, " I have to come to a decision on something today. My wedding is in three weeks and I want to know if I should attend." The net could blog on that question for days, but the point is, she had a specific question and wanted additional information. One of the first spreads we teach in our classes is a YES/NO spread. But we also teach people to read the cards as a story. So, the short answer to you two questions is: Specific answer: Sometimes General story: Sometimes And frankly, sometimes, the cards start with a story and the client ends up with a specific question. So, I hope that this answers your question.
- Hello Mike That depends on how you work with the tarot & the intent behind the reading. If a specific question was asked them yes, but it can be revealed via a story. When you lay the cards you are looking at them as indivdual cards but also comparitively (as one). Pam tarot teacher join ~ Practice Tarot. Psychic Development. Clairvoyancy. Hypnotherapy.
