When reading tarot cards, and they jump out what does that mean?
I was doing a reading, mind you I am new at this, for myself and four cards just jumped out. What does that mean when that happens?

- wind? cant always assume it has meaning there may be a non-spiritual answer maybe attempt it again
- that you've had too much to drink?
- Depends on who you ask, but to me it means: read those cards first. They have something to tell you or the person you're doing the reading for.
- they're bored
- I dont know....maybe they didnt want to be in the deck anymore!
- if one jumps out of the deck it means that card is something you need to know. read the card it will probably help!
- You're butter-fingered....
- O0O0O!! i read this in my book ^-^ most tarot readers belive thats its a sign befor the reading. so you should take the fallen card/s into cunsideration. but some tarot card readers dont belive in it but i belive in it. and a daymn e_e
- You are calling the spirits. You should be careful because you could be calling ghosts, and unbelievers of god that can mislead you.
- Neat little trick usually effected with very fine elastic bands.
- Call 911.
- It means you are very gullible I used to read Tarot cards for a living and it is total B.S.
- it means: until you video & post it.....youre just another whack-job.
- Ever dropped something on the floor (like food when you are preparing a meal)? It's like that.
- TAROT CARDS ARE NOT RELIGIOUS!!! how dare you put it in this section. but to answer your question it means nothing. hope i helped.
- Use it. If you don't want to use it, shuffle it back into the deck.
- You need therapy. Tarot is one of a thousand schemes of satan to distract you from the truth of Jesus Christ. You should be jumping away from the cards.
- Evil spirits You shouldn't get involved with things like that. Anything that is supernatural that is not of God is from Satan and his evil angels. If you keep on, you will see. But I hope that it will lead you to truth rather than false reasoning.
- If there was not an external factor such as wind, read those cards before shuffling them back into the deck for the reading. What this means, in my experience, is that there are issues being brought to your attention by your own connection to the deck -- if you were doing a reading for another make note of these cards as if they appear in the reading the meaning may be amplified EDIT: To the poster above me -- Tarot cards and other forms of divinatory practice are actully used in a religious context by some people. This is actually an appropriate forum for this question simply BECAUSE some religions incorporate the Mantic Arts.
- Would you explain what you mean by four cards just jumped out. Do you mean they fell from the deck, or do you mean they immediately drew your attention once dealt? Either way check the meanings of those cards. Could be you need to keep an eye out for something. Too bad the Zealots are out in force on this question. The cards are nothing more than tools which suggest POSSIBLE outcomes. NO evil involved. In the end the person the reading is for ends up the one who makes the reading true or false by the decisions they make themselves. Cards have nothing to do with it!
- When a tarot card or cards jump from the deck, it is telling you something you need to know right now at this time. It may or may not be directly related to the question at hand, but the 'heavens' feel that you should know the information. Pay attention to the way it falls; that holds additional meaning. http://www.tarotreadingsite.com
- Nick1413: How can you be so intolerant of someone else's beliefs as to ask them how they dare post them in the R&S section? This seems to be the appropriate section. Just because you yourself may not believe shouldn't stop you respecting the rights of others to believe.
- For the most part I usually only give 1 or 2 cards a special place in the reading if they jump from the deck. More cards than that and I'll just add them back in and keep shuffling. It's somewhat arbitrary but I've had days where I have more cards that have fallen from the deck than cards left in the decks. Keeping it at one to two gives me better focus and makes the card(s) seem even more significant. When a card jumps out like that, I take it as a sign to pay attention. It might apply to the issue as a whole or to a small section. I find that when I'm drawing a card to meditate on, whatever pops out may be an area to focus my thoughts on or an answer to a simple question. I've always viewed them as being significant though. :-)
- Hello I call these 'jumpers'. They can be very relavant to the situation that you are asking about & can be worth taking notice of. When multiple cards jump out then it is up to you if you wish to take notice as it could just be that the deck was loose & not be relavant. If they feel prior to the cards being laid then you could add them as the first four cards of the layout - again it is personal choice. Sadhara
